Tasanya Gordon brings 17 years of experience in the field of education with her to Wissahickon Charter School. Having taught in both private and public school settings, Tasanya has worked at elementary, middle, and high school levels as both a classroom teacher and a Dean of Culture. She has received her training from Rowan University and Wilmington University, where she earned a MEd in both Special Education and School Leadership.
Tasanya is a teacher, a leader, and an instrument of change. As an educator, she believes she should be an advocate for her scholars by enhancing their academic and Social-Emotional needs. She believes an educator’s responsibility above all else is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment with high academic standards for students.
In her free time, Tasanya enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Tasanya has a three year old daughter who is the light of her life.
