Michele Ferrante has been an educator for almost 25 years and a Wissahickon staff member for over 13. She earned her Elementary and Special Education dual degree from LaSalle University and Master's in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University. She has taught kindergarten through high school as well as adults at a technical school. Just after WCS opened in 2002, Michele joined the team, charged with designing and implementing a child focused, inclusive special education program. She is proud to oversee that program at both WCS campuses. She enjoys providing professional development and organizing school or community events. She is passionate about teaching people to recognize and value their own strengths, whether that be a student, a teacher, a colleague, or her own daughters.
