Kate O’Shea has been an educator for the past 17 years and a supervisor and mentor to teachers for the last ten.  She received her Masters in Education from Arcadia University and completed the coursework for her Principal Certification through Arcadia from 2010-2011.  In addition to her certification courses, she served as a student teaching supervisor to Arcadia graduate students and as a teaching coach and professional development trainer for Foundations Inc.
Kate has been with Wissahickon Charter School since the beginning, serving as one of its founding teachers. Â She went on to be the Director of Curriculum, Gifted and Talented Teacher and in 2004 became the Dean of Faculty. Â After a couple years spent in San Francisco writing a proposal for a Spanish immersion charter school, Kate returned to WCS in 2011 as the Lower School Director and in 2014 became the first Lower School Director at the new Awbury campus.Â
