Awbury Fifth Graders Visit the Outdoor School at Horsham
Horsham team building
Awbury's fifth graders had a fantastic time on their 3-day trip to the Horsham Outdoor School as they participated in the Kate Svitek Memorial Trip. The trip included a series of team-building games and activities, such as group wall climbing, balance beam, and team rope swing. Students were also taken on 4 different nature lessons, where they were engaged, asked questions, and got first-hand
experiences that would have been impossible to
recreate in the classroom. They learned about
how forests grow and change, where fruits come
from, different types of invasive river species,
and the care and feeding of farm animals
and reptiles! Students did an amazing job, and
represented the school wonderfully! Wissahickon is extremely grateful to the Kate Svitek Memorial Foundation for making this trip possible.
