All Wissahickon Charter School afterschool activities are canceled for the day (11/15/18). This includes scheduled practices, afterschool program, and evening activities.

 
Wissahickon Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school open to the children of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There is no admissions test.

 

 
Applying to Both Sites

You can apply to both sites. To be entered into both school lotteries, you must complete a separate application for each site and for each child. If your child is selected in the first lottery for Fernhill, s/he will be withdrawn from the Awbury lottery. If your child is not selected in the first lottery and you have applied to both sites, s/he will be entered into the Awbury lottery.

 

Kindergarten Eligibility

To be eligible for kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year, the student must be 5 years old as of 9/01/2019. Students born after 9/1/2014 are not five years old and will not have reached the School District entry age for kindergarten.

Applicants Outside Philadelphia

Children who live outside of Philadelphia can apply if every interested child in Philadelphia already has been accepted.

 

 

Applications for the 2019-2020 school year will open on 9/28/2018.

The application deadline for the 2019-2020 school year is 1/28/2019.
